3-5th Grade Benchmark #1 Continues This Week
Our 3rd - 5th grade students will continue taking their 1st Benchmark Tests this week. Below you will find the benchmark schedule:
Tuesday, October 6th: 3-5th Grade Math
Wednesday, October 7th: 3-5th Grade Reading
You can help by ensuring your child is well rested, providing some words of encouragement before the tests, and making sure your child is on time getting to school on benchmark testing days.
Early Release Day, Friday October 9th and No School for Students on Monday, October 12th and Tuesday, October 13th
We will have an early dismissal day on Friday, October 9th. Our students will dismiss at 12:00pm. If there will be changes to how your student(s) are picked up from school next Friday, please communicate those directly to their teacher ASAP. Kids Plus will operate in the afternoon from 12pm until 4:30pm. The Boys and Girls Club will still operate as normal for those students that attend their after school program.
There will be no school for students on Monday, October 12th and Tuesday, October 13th for teacher workdays. We will be back to a regular schedule Wednesday, October 14th.
Share Your Family’s Traditions at Curriculum Night!
We would love to highlight the cultures and traditions represented in our school community during Curriculum Night on October 29! We are looking for families who celebrate Día de los Muertos or Diwali and would be willing to host a small booth or table during the event. Families could share about how they celebrate, answer questions, and display items such as decorations, photos, clothing, books, crafts, or other meaningful traditions. This does not need to be a formal presentation. We simply want to give our students and families an opportunity to learn from and celebrate the wonderful cultures within our own school community!

Keep Toys At Home
We are seeing a growing number of students bringing toys and accessories to school. These items are causing a disruption to the learning environment. Please make sure your child is leaving these items at home. Any need for sensory items can be fulfilled on a case by basis with resources we have on campus. We appreciate your help with this.
Fall Fundraiser
Our "Pick a Date to Donate" Fall Fundraiser is happening now! It’s simple - pick a date on the calendar and donate that dollar amount. Every donation helps support our school and gives students the chance to earn some awesome prizes (see the attached flyer)! The fundraiser ends October 30th, so there’s still lots of time to participate. You can send in cash or check made out to "CWES PTCO" in an envelope with your child's name and teacher's name. You can also send donations through Zelle (cwesptco@gmail.com). Thank you for supporting our school and helping us make this fundraiser a huge success!
PTCO Meeting is This Tuesday (10/6)
The next meeting of our PTCO will take place this Tuesday, October 6th. For this meeting you have two different options to attend: 2:15 PM or 5:30 PM. If you attend the 2:15 PM meeting, you will be able to pick up your children without having to enter the car rider line! Even if you were not able to make the first meeting, we would love for you to join us! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference for both our students and staff while helping to shape exciting traditions at Coltrane-Webb.
