PBIS is a framework (one component of MTSS) that promotes positive student behavior. It is a TIER 1 intervention, with the expectation that 80% of our students will be able to be successful with this core program. 

CWES has aligned it’s PBIS program with the Positivity Project to include character strengths, utilizing meaningful, common language among teachers and staff while discussing how student behaviors reflect character.

Behavior expectations are explicitly taught throughout the year.  Students are encouraged to exhibit positive behavior in all areas of the campus, and in doing so earn points in Class Dojo.  These points are redeemed for incentives from the prize cart as students meet classroom goals.
