Coltrane-Webb Update for the Week of August 31st - September 4th

Hello Coltrane-Webb STEM Elementary School Families,

We loved seeing all the colors of the rainbow around the school last week with our Color Week in full swing.  One of my true joys this week was watching students care for their new friends, whether helping tie shoes, showing classmates around the building, or simply checking in on one another.  I look forward to another great week ahead.

September 7th Labor Day Holiday: No School For Students and Staff

There will be no school for students and staff next Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day Holiday. Students will return to school on our regular schedule on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.

PTCO 1st Meeting is Tuesday (9/1)

The first meeting of our PTCO will take place this Tuesday, September 1st.  For this meeting you have two different options to attend: 2:15 PM or 5:30 PM.  If you attend the 2:15 PM meeting, you will be able to pick up your children without having to enter the car rider line!  This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference for both our students and staff while helping to shape exciting traditions at Coltrane-Webb.  We would love for you to be part of this amazing organization!

Spirit Night at Chick-Fil-A Tomorrow (8/31)

Please come out to the Chick Fil-A at Concord Parkway (1475 Concord Parkway North, across from Carolina Mall) from 5:00pm - 8:00pm TOMORROW, Monday, August 31st.  You can dine in, drive-thru or mobile order to participate.  If you are doing drive-thru or dining in, be sure to tell their employee that you are there to support Coltrane-Webb STEM Elementary School.  A portion of the night's proceeds will be donated to our PTCO. Also, orders from Uber Eats or Door Dash do NOT count for our school.  We hope to see you there!

Instructional/Technology Fee

If you have not yet paid the CCS Instructional/Technology Fee, please take a moment to do so through the K12 Payment Center.

Car Riders

We want to thank our car rider families for sticking by us as we have made some tweaks and changes over the last few weeks.  As more students have been placed on a bus, the line has been able to move very smooth and ending on time.  Thank you so much for working with us to make this new process a great success!

Cougar Color Days

Our Cougar Color Days continue this week as we celebrate our Kindergarten Cougars. We would love to show our baby Cougars our support by staff and students wearing the particular color of the day! So, if you can, please wear the particular color(s) on the dates listed below. 

Monday, August 31 - Purple
Tuesday, Sept 1 - Pink
Wednesday, Sept 2 - Black
Thursday, Sept 3 - White
Friday, Sept 4- RAINBOW

Positivity Project (P2)

This week for P2, students will learn about the character strength of "Teamwork". Teamwork means working well with others as part of a group. It involves being loyal, reliable, and dedicated to helping your team reach its goals. Check out the parent newsletter to learn more.
