The Coltrane-Webb STEM Elementary School Mascots, Zougar and Zoey.
Hello Coltrane-Webb STEM Elementary School Families,

It has been great to see our students consistently showing what it means to be responsible, respectful, and ready each day. As we move into the final stretch of the school year, our students and staff are focused on finishing strong, and we are proud of the effort and growth we continue to see across our classrooms.

Follow this link to the video version of our Weekly Update.

Please take a few moments to review the important updates below:

Volunteers Needed for April 20th Staff Lunch

The PTCO is providing a spring lunch for the staff on Monday, April 20th! We are looking for volunteers to assist with student lunches so that the teachers can relax and enjoy their meal.  You will sign in at the office and then meet in the cafeteria at your assigned time.  You can volunteer for a 30 min time slot or stay the entire time!  Any parents volunteering to help with duty free lunch must have completed the Cabarrus County Volunteer process with an up to date background check. This is good for 2 years.  If you have not completed the process, please click on this link.

Please review the available slots here and click on the button to sign up.

CCS Youth Art Festival

Come out to see some of our Coltrane-Webb students' art being showcased at the CCS Youth Art Festival that will take place this Friday, April 17th from 5pm - 7:30pm at the Gibson Mill Market in Concord.  Artwork from students from all the schools in Cabarrus County will be showcased here.  We hope to see you there!

CCS Parent/Guardian Engagement Survey

Cabarrus County Schools has launched their annual Parent/Guardian Engagement Survey which you can take by clicking on this link.   This is a great opportunity for families to help us better understand what’s working well and where we can continue to grow. The survey takes about 10–15 minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential, and only overall results will be shared. It will remain open until 11:59 PM on May 1, 2026.  If you have questions about this survey or your confidentiality, please contact Cabarrus County Schools at cabcoschools@cabarrus.k12.nc.us. Thank you for partnering with us and helping make our school community even stronger.  We look forward to sharing what we learn with you soon!

April Spirit Night

Our first Spirit Night of April will take place on April 15th at Mi Pueblo Mexican Grill in Concord, near Target. Dine in or take out anytime from 5:00pm to 10:00pmPlease be sure to tell the employee you are there to support Coltrane-Webb so that our school gets credit for your purchase! Also, note that for Spirit Nights, orders from Uber Eats, Door Dash, or on the website do NOT count for our school! Please make sure you DINE IN at the restaurant, call your order into the restaurant and pick up, or place a take out order inside of the restaurant. Thank you!

2025-2026 PTCO Recruitment

The Coltrane-Webb STEM Elementary PTCO is looking for new parents and guardians to join us for the 2026–2027 school year, and no prior experience is needed. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference for both our students and teachers while helping shape exciting traditions as we open our brand-new school building this August. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your ideas, voice, and support can help strengthen our classrooms, enrich student experiences, and build a connected school community. We would love for you to be part of this exciting new chapter at Coltrane-Webb!  If you are interested, please email CWPTCO@gmail.com

I hope you have a great Sunday and we will see you tomorrow!
